Usher had to pass on the chance to star in the iconic film "Dreamgirls" due to a busy schedule, leaving fans stunned. During a surprise appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer revealed the missed opportunity to his host, Jennifer Hudson, who was taken aback by the revelation.

Although Usher didn't disclose the character he was set to portray, it was a role that eventually went to Keith Robinson in the 2006 musical drama. Despite his disappointment, Usher expressed his admiration for Hudson's talent and proposed a future collaboration.

Directed by Bill Condon, "Dreamgirls" boasted a star-studded cast, including Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé, and Eddie Murphy. Additionally, Usher addressed his decision to skip the 2025 Grammy Awards where he was nominated, citing his desire to show solidarity with those affected by the heartbreaking California wildfires.
