The HoverLab Research Institute, also known as Garosero, organized a press briefing on May 7 in Seoul, revealing disturbing accusations related to the late actress Kim Sae Ron and actor Kim Soo Hyun. The CEO of HoverLab, Kim Se Eui, and attorney Bu Ji Seok from the Buyou law firm, shared an audio recording of a private conversation between Kim Sae Ron and an unidentified informant, identified as 'A,' exposing claims of physical assault and ongoing threats.

The informant, A, presented a video showcasing his current health status, stating it was filmed during a brief visit home while still under medical care. He stressed that he had not been discharged from the hospital, recounting being stabbed nine times in the neck on May 1 in New Jersey by two attackers: a Korean man known as Kim Han Goo and another individual of Chinese-Korean descent, whose identity remains unconfirmed.

A detailed being harassed by individuals allegedly associated with Kim Soo Hyun, mentioning lawyers from LKB & Partners, entertainment reporters Lee Jin Ho and Kang Kyung Yoon, as well as YouTuber Eun Hyun Jang (jangsin). Lee Jin Ho purportedly offered a significant sum for the recording, which A rejected, suspecting this refusal led to the violent assault.

During the event, HoverLab played a recorded conversation from January 10 between Kim Sae Ron and A, supposedly recorded in a café in New Jersey. CEO Kim described A as a longtime acquaintance of Kim Sae Ron familiar with the entertainment industry.

In the recording, Kim Sae Ron alleged that she had a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun from middle school through college, describing his agency, Gold Medalist, as individuals capable of anything and terrifying. She claimed to have felt exploited since her youth and portrayed as mentally unstable after a DUI incident. Moreover, she accused Kim Soo Hyun of showing her intimate photos of another actress and saving female celebrities’ names on his phone by scent. Kim mentioned her first sexual encounter with Kim occurred during her second year of middle school, retrospectively feeling non-consenting.

HoverLab expressed that the informant's family wished for some information to be disclosed publicly, concerned about further escalation. Kim Se Eui labeled the incident as attempted murder and mentioned ongoing FBI investigation in the US.

Attorney Bu Ji Seok confirmed that Kim Soo Hyun was reported to the Seoul Metropolitan Police for breaching the Child Welfare Act and making false accusations. Bu highlighted that despite dating Kim Sae Ron as a minor, Kim Soo Hyun initiated a defamation lawsuit against the bereaved family, prompting a countersuit for false accusations from the family.

In a related development, Lee Jin Ho responded to the AI-manipulated tapes released by Garosero Research Institute, denouncing the claims as "obvious fabrications."
