Spike Lee and Denzel Washington have reunited after almost twenty years for the unveiling of their new film "Highest 2 Lowest," as shown in the teaser released. This crime thriller will also star A$AP Rocky and is the first collaboration between Lee and Washington since their work on "Inside Man" in 2006. The teaser, shared on Lee's Instagram, provides a glimpse into the film's intense atmosphere and talented cast, including Ilfenesh Hadera, Jeffrey Wright, and Ice Spice in her acting debut. "Highest 2 Lowest" is a modern adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 movie "High and Low," originally based on Ed McBain's novel "King's Ransom." Distributed by A24, the film is slated to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival before hitting theaters and eventually Apple TV+. Lee shared that A$AP Rocky's casting was inspired by online comparisons to Denzel Washington, with whom he has had a long-standing creative partnership spanning five films since their collaboration on "Mo’ Better Blues" in 1990.
