Sion, a member of NCT WISH under SM Entertainment, successfully completed his inaugural ceremonial pitch.

On May 4th, at 2 PM, Sion participated in the ceremonial first pitch event at the Gwangju-KIA Champions Field during the KIA Tigers vs. Hanwha Eagles game as part of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League. His strong throw and enthusiastic cheers captured the audience's attention.

Following the pitch, Sion expressed his feelings, stating that throwing the first pitch for the KIA Tigers, a team he had supported since childhood, was a mixture of nerves and excitement. He found it particularly meaningful to cheer with other young KIA fans. Despite having two previous attempts canceled last season, he emphasized that the experience of that day would be unforgettable.

Sion participated in the "KIA's Early Children's Day Series," a unique Children’s Day event where he wore a special collaboration uniform between the KIA Tigers and the animation 'Catch! Teenieping', transforming into "SIONping." His vibrant appearance and energetic demeanor received positive reactions and quickly gained popularity on social media.

During the 5th inning, SION danced to NCT WISH’s latest title track "poppop" from the cheer platform, boosting the atmosphere at the game. He continued to cheer enthusiastically from the stands, displaying his passion for the sport.

NCT WISH made a successful comeback on April 14 with their second mini-album "poppop," achieving significant milestones such as surpassing one million sales for the first time since their debut, leading domestic album charts, winning three music show awards, and ranking high on various music platforms, cementing their position as one of the breakout acts of 2025.
