tvN's 'Problematic Men' variety show is making a comeback after a five-year hiatus. The rebranded version, 'Problematic Men Reboot: Math Edition,' is set to premiere on July 23, creating excitement among viewers.

Originally launched in 2015, 'Problematic Men' gained a loyal following due to its innovative problem-solving approach and intellectual gameplay, deviating from the typical variety show style. The reboot will focus on boosting math confidence and introduces a fresh cast.

One of the original members, Jun Hyun Moo, returns for this season and will collaborate with renowned math instructor Jung Seung Je. Known for his comedic role as a "math dropout," Jun Hyun Moo is expected to evolve into a "growth character," partnering with Jung Seung Je to enhance his math abilities.

The new cast lineup includes TV personality Bae Sung Jae as the "brain caster," singer John Park, who aced the math section of the U.S. SAT, versatile idol Suho, and math genius Kim Gyu Min, known for excelling in the Korean Math Olympiad and entering Seoul Science High School early.

A teaser video released on the 27th featured a math problem designed by Jung Seung Je. The show's premiere date was cleverly presented as a math puzzle in the teaser, grabbing viewers' attention.

Jung Seung Je teased viewers by suggesting that thinking mathematically would make solving the puzzle easy, sparking curiosity among the audience. The blend of brain-teasing challenges and exciting problem-solving kept viewers engaged and distinguished 'Problematic Men' from traditional entertainment shows.

The show's success was also attributed to the dynamic between the cast members, representing a mix of humanities and science backgrounds, math enthusiasts, and math learners. Their individual strengths and interactions contributed to the show's charm and relatability, making it a standout in the variety show landscape.
