Pastor Jamal Bryant made a controversial statement alleging that Tupac Shakur once attended Clark Atlanta University and should be honored with a posthumous degree. However, experts and researchers on the late rapper have debunked this claim, calling it entirely false. Biographer and journalist Jeff Pearlman, who has extensively researched Tupac for his upcoming book, revealed that there is no evidence to support Bryant's assertions. Pearlman clarified that Tupac never attended college, let alone Clark Atlanta University. The rapper's upbringing and education were predominantly in Baltimore and later in California, contradicting Bryant's narrative. Moreover, Bryant's unsupported statements have raised concerns about the spread of misinformation in hip-hop history. Despite the controversy, Clark Atlanta University has not responded to the call for an honorary degree for Tupac.
