On the latest episode of the YouTube series ‘Pinggyego’, Key from SHINee talked about his admiration for up-and-coming actor Byun Woo Seok, expressing his excitement at seeing him become so popular.

During the show, when Yoo Jae Suk playfully teased Girls’ Generation’s Yuri about her emotions, Key chimed in, mentioning the joy of harboring affection. He drew a parallel to how fans feel about their beloved celebrities, like the current admiration for Byun Woo Seok.

Yoo Jae Suk added, “Woo Seok is really making waves,” prompting Key to note, “Many people I know have even set his picture as their phone background. We are the same age.” Yoo elaborated, “Despite Woo Seok being in the industry for a while, his recent surge in fame is quite remarkable and unexpected, causing this sudden surge of attention.”

Key disclosed, “I've been aware of him since his modeling days. We weren’t close, but I've known about him for some time, and I’m genuinely thrilled to see his success.” When Yuri inquired if they had a close relationship before, missing his earlier remark, Key jested and clarified, “I did mention we weren’t close.” Yuri joked, “I was just curious and wanted more information,” evoking laughter from all. Key playfully added, “If you and Dong Hyun became friends, it might spell disaster,” contributing to the light-hearted atmosphere.

I often ponder whether they are aware that their reputation extends beyond the industry.” He remarked, “However, intervening doesn't seem feasible— if simple advice could bring about change, they would have realized it by now,” showcasing both care and understanding.
