The production team of the popular variety show '2 Days & 1 Night' by KBS has released a statement cautioning the public as cases of fake reservations made by people pretending to be part of the show's staff are on the rise.
In an announcement on April 28 on their official social media platforms, the '2 Days & 1 Night' crew informed the public about instances where individuals posing as their staff have been reserving tables at local restaurants and then not showing up.
These "No-shows" involve making reservations without canceling or notifying the restaurant before failing to appear. While these reservations are not authorized by the production team, the affected restaurants have been contacting KBS to confirm their validity.
The '2 Days & 1 Night' team clearly stated that they have no involvement in these impersonation schemes and have not made any official reservation requests. They emphasized their determination to take legal action against such deceptive activities.
They advised anyone receiving suspicious communications purportedly from the production team to verify the information through the KBS Viewer Hotline.
Furthermore, the team expressed their commitment to preventing such incidents in the future and sought continued support and understanding from viewers and businesses.
'2 Days & 1 Night' is a well-loved reality-variety show that has been on air since 2007. The program features cast members exploring various regions in Korea, experiencing local culture and cuisine, and completing missions. It airs every Sunday at 6:10 PM.
The official statement from the '2 Days & 1 Night' production team included a call to action regarding deceptive reservation activities and emphasized their dedication to resolving the situation with the public's support.
