Kanye West has initiated legal action against his former dentist, Dr. Thomas Connelly, alleging that the dentist fueled his nitrous oxide addiction that led to negative impacts on his mental health.

West is preparing to file a medical malpractice lawsuit in California, accusing Dr. Thomas P. Connelly of supplying nitrous oxide without medical necessity, causing enduring mental and emotional harm.

According to West's legal team, Connelly facilitated the rapper's unsupervised use of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, by providing large quantities and allowing self-administration without proper oversight.

The lawsuit claims that despite noticing changes in West's behavior and neurological state, Connelly continued treatment without addressing these issues and later terminated treatment without a suitable medical transition plan.

The legal complaint highlights the physical, psychological, and financial damages West allegedly endured.

In August 2024, Milo Yiannopoulos, West's former chief of staff, publicly accused Dr. Connelly of charging exorbitant amounts to supply nitrous oxide for recreational purposes.

Yiannopoulos asserted that Connelly intentionally impaired West's mental faculties to exploit him financially.

He also claimed Connelly targeted African-American celebrities and engaged in unethical practices, including placing fake diamonds in their mouths.

Yiannopoulos shared screenshots of text messages showing West requesting nitrous oxide from Connelly, who agreed to provide it.

Allegedly, West was frequently seen using an inhaler mask for nitrous oxide, and large surgical tanks were spotted at his residence.

The lawsuit contends that Connelly took advantage of West's mental health vulnerabilities for his financial gain. Connelly's representatives have denied the allegations, but West's legal team asserts that Connelly has acknowledged his wrongful actions and apologized in writing.
