ILLIT is preparing for a comeback with their latest album set to be released in mid-June. The news, reported by IZE on April 30, reveals that the group is in the final stages of getting ready for their upcoming release. This album will be their first in about eight months, following the launch of their second mini-album 'I'LL LIKE YOU' in October last year.
Since their debut, ILLIT has become notable for their unique charm and infectious music, quickly gaining popularity as one of the top 5th-generation girl groups. Their debut track 'Magnetic' made history by entering both the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100, marking the first time a debut song from the K-pop genre achieved this dual feat.
Despite their short time in the industry, ILLIT has received multiple global rookie awards and grown their fanbase significantly with their engaging content, particularly on platforms like TikTok. They have also established a strong presence abroad, notably in Japan. Earlier this year, their song 'Almond Chocolate,' featured in the Japanese movie 'It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love,' gained renewed popularity and climbed the charts in the country.
Renowned for their lively style and distinctive sound, fans are eager to see the depth and evolution in ILLIT's upcoming album. The group's first fan concert, '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL,' is scheduled for June 7 and 8 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, offering a chance for them to connect with fans in person. In addition, ILLIT will extend their global reach with concerts planned in Yokohama and Osaka in August and September, continuing their successful international endeavors. Also mentioned is Lee Sang Min's upcoming private wedding ceremony with a non-celebrity partner.
