Hani from EXID, who delayed her wedding with psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong due to controversy surrounding a patient's death, recently shared insights into how she is finding peace of mind. She has turned to yoga as a means of self-discovery and has received a wealth of encouragement.
On May 22, Hani uploaded pictures of herself engaging in yoga on social media, accompanied by the message, "Just do what you can. This phrase gave me so much comfort; it made me develop a fondness for yoga."
In the images, Hani is immersed in her yoga practice, displaying a calm and collected demeanor in her snug workout attire, as she focuses on finding inner harmony.
She expressed, “Simply doing what I can? That has always been challenging for me. While it is crucial to grasp the yoga postures and execute them properly, for me, yoga is a time to practice doing only what I am capable of.”
She further stated, “I am gradually discovering how to treat myself with kindness. Today, I took a breath, went with the flow, and that was sufficient.”
Hani withdrew from her roles after a patient passed away at Yang Jae Woong’s clinic in May the previous year. The patient, identified as A, had been at the hospital for treatment related to addiction to diet pills and succumbed after 17 days.
The news of the patient’s demise emerged two months later, leading to suspicions and suggestions that Hani, who was set to marry Yang Jae Woong, may have been aware. Consequently, she distanced herself from public engagements and canceled an appearance on a TV show. Following the incident, Hani and Yang Jae Woong put their wedding plans on hold indefinitely.
