The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, known for its high level of competition, concluded with the esteemed Grand Prize in the television section being awarded to 'Culinary Class Wars.' The event, held at COEX Hall D in Samseong-dong on May 5th at 8 p.m., was emceed by Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum.

This edition of the awards made history as 'Culinary Class Wars' became the first variety program to win the prestigious Baeksang Grand Prize in the Television category. The show garnered significant attention both in Korea and internationally, with preparations underway for its second season.

Director Kim Hak Min, who led the production, expressed gratitude towards Baek Jong Won, Ahn Sung Jae, and the chefs for their contributions to the show. He shared his disbelief at experiencing a moment akin to Na Young Seok's previous Grand Prize win as a PD.

The CEO of Studio Slam, the production company responsible for the program, highlighted the immense significance of receiving the Grand Prize for a variety show at Baeksang. This year's Baeksang Arts Awards aimed to maintain its essence as a celebration of the entire entertainment and arts sector while adapting to industry changes. Notably, the "TV category" was rebranded as the more inclusive "Broadcast category" to encompass outstanding performances across various platforms, reflecting the evolving media landscape.
