The director of the movie 'Hi.5' addressed the controversy surrounding actor Yoo Ah In during a recent production briefing in Seoul. The action comedy film, directed by Kang Hyoung Chul and featuring a star-studded cast, tells the story of five individuals who acquire supernatural abilities through organ transplants and are thrown into chaos as others try to exploit their powers.
Yoo Ah In's involvement in the film is overshadowed by his legal troubles, as he was charged with drug offenses and sentenced to a suspended prison term, a fine, community service, and drug treatment education. The case is currently under appeal.
Despite the controversy, director Kang Hyoung Chul expressed regret over the situation and emphasized the importance of addressing such issues. He mentioned that during the film's production, he prioritized completing the project and maintaining the original vision, making only minimal edits in post-production to ensure the movie's release went smoothly.
