Kanye West surprised fans by releasing his highly anticipated album, Donda 2, on various streaming platforms on Wednesday. However, the album was swiftly taken down due to a disagreement over payment with the producers. Initially, West had exclusively launched the project on his Stem Player device in 2022.

The album briefly appeared on Spotify and YouTube Music this week but was removed following legal threats from Free Maiden, who manages two of the album's producers. Free Maiden shared more details about the dispute, expressing frustration at West for allegedly exploiting their work without proper compensation.

The managers, representing Boogz Da Beast and AllDay, producers of eight songs on the album, accused West of a history of theft but stated that they had previously shielded him from lawsuits. This incident with Donda 2 was the first widespread release of the album beyond West's platform, as it was previously deemed "lost" due to its limited availability.

This latest conflict is part of a challenging period for West, highlighted by his recent ban from Twitch during his debut stream. Despite the album's unavailability on major streaming services, West indicated his desire to resolve the issue with the producers amicably, expressing interest in collaborating with them again.
