The list comprises nominees who have been acknowledged and voted for their impact and influence in their respective industries. This year, prominent personalities like director Bong Joon Ho, the band Seventeen, BLACKPINK's Rosé, writer Han Kang, and others were featured on the Gold House A100.
Among the Korean honorees highlighted this year are:
1. Director Bong Joon Ho, known for his acclaimed films like 'Memories of Murder,' 'Snowpiercer,' 'Okja,' and the Oscar-winning 'Parasite.' His latest film 'Mickey 17,' a science fiction black comedy, is based on the novel 'Mickey 7.'
2. The cast and director of 'Squid Game,' Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, and Hwang Dong Hyuk, recognized for their roles in the popular series that gripped audiences worldwide.
3. BLACKPINK's Rosé, celebrated for her solo achievements and collaboration with Bruno Mars on the hit track "APT."
4. Seventeen, honored for their accomplishments as a K-pop group and their successful world tour in 2024.
5. Writer Han Kang, the first South Korean and Asian woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature for her novel 'The Vegetarian,' praised for her poignant storytelling.
6. Faker (Lee Sang Hyeok), a renowned eSports player in League of Legends with numerous championships to his name.
