Dasan Books' 'Who?' series, a popular children's book series featuring biographical stories and illustrations of historical figures and celebrities, including K-Pop idols like BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE, is under scrutiny for publishing biographical issues without proper authorization. The series has faced legal challenges in the past, such as a lawsuit from professional baseball player Ryu Hyun Jin in 2015. Despite winning the case then, recent amendments to the 'Unfair Competition Prevention Law' in South Korea now offer stronger protection for K-Pop artists regarding the use of their names and images. This has prompted management agencies of top K-Pop stars to consider legal actions against Dasan Books and the 'Who?' series.
