Chanyeol from EXO and the new boy group KickFlip from JYP Entertainment will be participating in a significant international music festival. The two K-pop acts are scheduled to showcase their talent at 'Summer Sonic Bangkok 2025', which will be held at Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on August 23-24. 'Summer Sonic' is a renowned urban music festival featuring top artists and will first take place in Tokyo and Osaka from August 16-17 before heading to Bangkok.

Chanyeol has been actively promoting his solo music following his live tour that started in Seoul in September and spanned 11 cities across Asia. He completed his tour with an encore series in December 2024. Moreover, EXO celebrated their 13th debut anniversary with a special live broadcast titled 'EXO: 13IRTHDAY HOME PARTY' on April 8, streamed on various platforms where members Suho, D.O., Chanyeol, and Kai engaged with fans for about two hours.

KickFlip, a rising rookie group in 2025, made their debut on January 20 with the song 'Flip It, Kick It!,' and gained attention with their track "Mama Said." Despite being new, they have secured performance slots at major festivals such as Lollapalooza Chicago, happening from July 31 to August 3, leading up to their appearance at Summer Sonic.
