The management company of singer Sung Si Kyung has raised awareness about a recent scam that is exploiting his popularity. On May 14th, SK Jaewon, his agency, posted a cautionary message on their official Instagram under the title "Warning: Scam Alert." They disclosed that someone posing as a member of the production team of 'Would You Eat?' Season 2 utilized a fake phone number to deceive restaurants into buying alcohol under false reservations, followed by demands for money. The agency stressed the importance of being cautious of such fraudulent calls and advised against complying with any financial demands, reaffirming that their team would never request the purchase of alcohol or money. Additionally, they urged individuals to inform restaurant owners if they visit establishments featured in 'Would You Eat?' to help prevent future scams. This incident is part of a recent series of scams where scammers pretend to be celebrity representatives to make counterfeit group reservations at restaurants, order costly alcohol, and abscond with the profits. Celebrities such as Ha Jung Woo, Song Ga In, Nam Jin, Lee Soo Geun, and Namgoong Min have been targeted in similar scams in the past.
