Netflix recently revealed the teaser poster and trailer for its first-ever Korean animated movie, 'Lost in Starlight', created by Han Ji Won and Kang Hyun Joo, and directed by Han Ji Woo.

The film is set in Seoul in 2050 and follows the love story of Nan Young, a Mars-exploring astronaut, and Jay, a musician who has given up on his dream. The teaser poster displays a romantic scene between Nan Young and Jay against the backdrop of a pink sunset.

In the trailer, we witness the initial meeting between Nan Young and Jay at an audio store where they bond over Nan Young fixing her late mother's turntable. Kim Tae Ri and Hong Kyung breathe life into their characters with their heartfelt voice performances.

Director Han Ji Won's artistry shines as the futuristic Seoul locations of Sewoon Arcade and Jamsu Bridge are beautifully brought to life through stunning animation. Han Ji Won's past work, 'Kopi Luwak', was recognized with the Indie Star Award at the Seoul Indie-AniFest and was featured at renowned film festivals like Sundance and Palm Springs International.

'Lost in Starlight' is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on May 30, marking a significant moment for Korean animation following its success in the U.S., surpassing 'Parasite' as the highest-grossing Korean movie.
