Actress Jung Min Hee has denied any connection to the Son Heung Min blackmail case, addressing rumors labeling her as the alleged blackmailer. On May 23, she took to her Instagram Story to refute these speculations, sharing messages and comments she had received and emphasizing that she was not involved in the incident. Frustrated by the baseless accusations, Jung Min Hee urged people to stop contacting, following, and commenting.
The messages she disclosed included inquiries like whether she was the woman extorting Son Heung Min, if she was his former girlfriend, and about the alleged connection of her Instagram account to Son Heung Min's ex.
The controversy began with the arrest of two individuals for attempting to extort money from Son Heung Min by falsely claiming pregnancy. A woman in her 20s, known as 'A,' and a man in his 40s, identified as 'B,' were taken into custody by Gangnam Police Station in Seoul. 'A' reportedly presented a fake fetal ultrasound image to Son Heung Min's camp in June last year and received 300 million won in return for keeping the matter confidential. 'B', believed to be 'A's boyfriend, allegedly demanded 70 million won in March but did not succeed in receiving any money.
As the case developed, online communities began circulating rumors linking Jung Min Hee to Son Heung Min as his ex-girlfriend, which subsequently spread to her social media accounts.
Jung Min Hee, known for her role in the 2016 musical 'Aida' and her recent appearance on the tvN show 'Unnie’s Organic Delivery,' clearly stated that she was not connected to the blackmail case involving Son Heung Min.
