A$AP Rocky described his failed audition for Lando Calrissian in the *Star Wars* movie as "bad" but expresses eagerness for another opportunity as he gets ready for a significant year in his acting career.

The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, shared with Variety his experience auditioning for the character that was eventually played by Donald Glover in the 2018 Star Wars prequel. Despite feeling inadequate compared to Childish Gambino (Donald Glover), he remains open to future roles in the Star Wars universe.

Rocky, known for his roles in indie films like Dope (2015) and Monster (2018), is set to star in two notable projects: If I Had Legs I’d Kick You and Spike Lee's film, Highest 2 Lowest, alongside Denzel Washington. For his role as Yung Felon in the latter, he embraced a Method acting approach, fully immersing himself in the character both on and off set.

Balancing his character work and family life, Rocky talks about transitioning between his role and being a father once his family returned to New York. The rapper, who is expecting his third child with Rihanna, is preparing for Highest 2 Lowest's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it will be showcased out of competition.
