Tether made an announcement about their new project, the QuantumVerse Automatic Computer (QVAC), which is a decentralized platform dedicated to developing AI agents that operate locally.

Paolo Ardoino, the CEO of Tether, stated that the company is aiming for a full launch of QVAC in the third quarter of 2025. Before the official launch, there will be a release of a few AI apps based on QVAC for general usage.

Tether is venturing into the AI agents market after investing in AI despite a downturn in market trends. The company is now unveiling its QVAC project as crypto AI agents are making a significant comeback.

QVAC is designed to maintain decentralization in the AI sector, allowing individuals to utilize advanced protocols without the need for remote servers. Tether teased this peer-to-peer AI platform recently, hinting at what is now known as QVAC.

Even though full details are not yet available as the launch is set for the future, Tether has ambitious plans for QVAC. The focus of QVAC will be on developing AI agents for local use using a modular architecture that enables functional tools to run on personal devices.

Tether emphasized that QVAC's agents will not depend on connecting to external servers, instead placing an emphasis on peer-to-peer communication among small-scale developers. The company will also introduce the first QVAC-based apps in the near future, although details remain scarce.

Tether aims to provide more technical information on QVAC in the second quarter leading up to the full launch in the third quarter. The company's objective is to contribute significantly to global AI development by successfully meeting this ambitious challenge, especially with the success seen with Chinese AI model, DeepSeek.
