Decoding Album Sales: A Closer Look at HYBE and JYP Entertainment Artists
/Article

HYBE's album sales distribution has consistently impressed with strong performances by multiple artists. Concerns over the heavy reliance on BTS for sales and revenue were laid to rest, especially after the members' enlistment for mandatory military service.

In a groundbreaking announcement on February 18, IBK Investment & Securities proclaimed HYBE to have "the best artist portfolio," forecasting remarkable growth potential until 2026. The investment firm highlighted HYBE's adept management of album sales distribution across its talented roster.

Comparing the sales volume distribution for 2024, HYBE's diversified approach stands out against JYP Entertainment's concentrated artist lineup. Notable figures revealed from the reports indicate that Seventeen holds 29.8%, ENHYPEN 16.4%, TXT 12.4%, and BTS solo at 11.2% in HYBE's distribution.

On the other hand, JYP Entertainment's distribution showcases a heavier concentration, with Stray Kids at 46.4%, TWICE (group/solo) at 25.2%, NMIXX at 11.4%, and ITZY at 10.2%.

Analyst Kim Yoo Hyuk, also from IBK Investment & Securities, foresees promising growth for HYBE, projecting a 20% annual revenue increase and a 60% surge in operating profit by 2026, with anticipated figures of 2.4057 trillion KRW (1.675 Billion USD) in revenue and 521.6 billion KRW (364 million USD) in operating profit. Additionally, he expects emerging artists like LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, TWS, and BOYNEXTDOOR to make substantial contributions to HYBE's performance.

Exciting developments lie ahead for HYBE as it continues to navigate the dynamic landscape of the music industry, showcasing its strategic vision and resilient growth trajectory.
