PLAVE Makes History as First Virtual Group on ‘Killing Voice’

In a groundbreaking move on February 18 at 7 PM KST, Dingo Music unveiled a fresh episode of ‘Killing Voice’ featuring PLAVE, marking a monumental moment for virtual groups.

The appearance of PLAVE on ‘Killing Voice’ holds immense significance, as they are the pioneers as a virtual group to grace the show's stage. Not only that, but they have set a record for the quickest debut-to-appearance turnaround among all participants in the series.

In their video introduction, PLAVE excitedly greeted viewers, announcing, “We come bearing our third mini-album, ‘Caligo Pt.1’. It’s a privilege to be part of ‘Killing Voice’ and showcase our musical talents.” They went on to promise, “We will reveal our songs and charm like never before,” heightening anticipation for their performance.

PLAVE kicked off their set with ‘Wait for You’, their debut hit from 2023, followed by crowd favorites such as ‘WAY 4 LUV’, ‘Pump Up The Volume!’, ‘The Sixth Summer’, ‘Pixel World’, ‘Why Why Why?’, ‘Watch Me Woo!’, ‘Dear. They also treated fans to a glimpse of their latest album by performing two tracks: the dynamic rock-infused title track ‘Dash’, and the city pop-inspired ‘Chroma Drift’. ‘Killing Voice’ is a renowned live performance series where artists curate a setlist to showcase their vocal prowess in a medley format. The show has previously hosted top-tier acts like IU, MAMAMOO, Sung Si Kyung, Taeyeon, KARA, SEVENTEEN, BTOB, EXO, and AKMU, earning applause from music aficionados.

Noteworthy episodes include IU’s with over 67 million views, securing the title of the most-viewed Dingo Music content. Taeyeon’s episode raked in over 47 million views, claiming the second spot on YouTube Korea’s ‘Most Popular Videos of 2022’, while AKMU’s session amassed 25 million views, holding the same position in 2023.

With this groundbreaking appearance, PLAVE has etched their name in ‘Killing Voice’ history, reinforcing their presence in the vibrant K-pop landscape.
