Argentine President Milei’s Purchase Guide Resurfaces, Sending LIBRA Token Soaring by 60%
/Article

Argentine President Javier Milei has stirred up the LIBRA token saga once again by sharing a tutorial on how to purchase the token on the social media platform X. Despite a previous retraction due to concerns over insiders cashing out significant amounts, President Milei has now reposted a tutorial from a user on X, outlining the steps to acquire the controversial token.

The tutorial detailed a five-step process to buy the LIBRA token, estimating it would take around 2 hours to complete. However, the original creator of the post clarified that the intention was to shed light on the challenges faced by ordinary investors trying to get involved with this meme coin, rather than endorse it.

Following Milei's repost, there was a sudden 60% surge in the price of the LIBRA token, although this increase was short-lived, and the token quickly dipped back down to $0.35. This surge also sparked allegations of price manipulation, with one user pointing out an individual who profited substantially from these market movements.

Despite facing increasing scrutiny and legal action, both Milei and others connected to the LIBRA token continue to defend their actions. The situation has led to investigations by Argentina’s Anti-Corruption Office, multiple criminal complaints, and calls for impeachment against Milei. Meanwhile, US prosecutors are reportedly considering charges in relation to the involvement of American figure Hayden Davis, the CEO of Kelsier Ventures.

As the controversy surrounding the LIBRA token deepens, it remains a crucial political and financial issue in Argentina, with ongoing developments captivating investors and regulators alike.
