FNC Entertainment Addresses Fraud Case Involving P1Harmony Member Kiho's Mother
Recently, FNC Entertainment issued a statement addressing the ongoing fraud case involving the mother of P1Harmony member Kiho.
In their official statement released on the 18th, FNC Entertainment sought to provide clarity on the situation, stating, "We would like to clarify the situation regarding our artist's family." The agency revealed that the case concerning Kiho's mother was reported to the authorities last year and had previously resulted in a not guilty verdict. However, a reinvestigation was initiated following objections from the victim.
Emphasizing Kiho's innocence in the matter, the agency asserted, "Kiho has no involvement in this case." They expressed their unawareness of the case's progression and shared that the victim had also apologized to Kiho after his name was erroneously circulated on social media platforms.
Stressing that if the ongoing investigation points to the mother's culpability, she will face legal consequences, the agency stated, "Separately, as a son, Kiho expresses deep regret for the victim and is committed to assisting in resolving the issue."
Moreover, FNC Entertainment urged the public to avoid engaging in malicious comments, personal attacks, or spreading false information about the artist during the investigation phase. They concluded with an apology for the distress caused to many individuals due to the situation involving the artist's family.
Previous reports indicated that Kiho's mother faced allegations of violating fraud-related laws in March last year. At the time, FNC Entertainment clarified that the issue was solely the mother's personal matter and unrelated to Kiho. Nevertheless, an individual claiming to be a victim of the fraud case, identified as A, carried out a solitary protest outside the FNC Entertainment premises, persistently associating Kiho's name with his mother's alleged wrongdoing.
