'Knowing Bros' Shin Dong explains the reason for not appearing on 'Great Escape'
Actor Choi Daniel, Jung Hye In, and Han Sang Jin appeared on JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' on the 15th. On this day, Choi Daniel expressed his fan love for Kang Ho Dong, saying, "I'm not saying this just because I'm here, but I'm a real fan of 'Great Escape'," revealing his excitement for the new season. In response, Kang Ho Dong teased Shin Dong by saying, "Just because you didn't do it." Shin Dong explained that he didn't even receive a call and found out about his non-appearance through the news, hinting that it was more of an expulsion than just not appearing.
Laughing off Lee Sang Min's comment that PD Jung Jong Yeon has a bit of a cold side, Shin Dong clarified, "This time, Jung Jong Yeon PD isn't doing this." The upcoming Tving Original 'Great Escape: The Story,' scheduled for the first half of this year, will see original members Shin Dong, Kim Jong Min, and P.O. being replaced by Kang Ho Dong, Kim Dong Hyun, Yoo Byung Jae, with new members Go Kyung Pyo, Baek Hyun, and Yeo Jin Goo joining.
Meanwhile, Kang Ho Dong kneeled in front of Han Sang Jin. Han Sang Jin, who revealed that he had a chance to appear on 'Ambitious Project,' shared an incident where the writer suddenly made it difficult for him to appear using the drama as an excuse. When Han Sang Jin mentioned that there was more time after the drama ended and wasn’t sure who could be approached for casting, Kang Ho Dong joked saying, "It would have been me," showing a startled expression.
Han Sang Jin also disclosed that he was offered to appear on the variety show 'Time Exploration 3' after the drama 'Yumi's Cells,' and Kang Ho Dong was considering a positive response to the offer. However, the plan fell through with Kang Ho Dong not appearing despite cutting his appearance fee in half because he wanted to work with him. Han Sang Jin expressed regret, mentioning that it was not Kang Ho Dong's fault but that the show was quite challenging. Kang Ho Dong apologized, saying, "I'm sorry."
