Korean Netizens Rally Behind NJZ Amid Parental Legal Threats Against TenAsia
/Article

NJZ (formerly known as NewJeans) has vehemently denied a recent report from TenAsia that accused the group of preparing to join the agency Beasts And Natives Alike (BANA) after their rebranding.

The article, reportedly based on sources within the industry, asserted that although NJZ had not yet signed with BANA officially, the agency was actively involved in managing their activities, including coordinating press events. It also mentioned BANA's connection to former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, pointing out previous collaborations with producers linked to both entities.

In response, NJZ's management, speaking through the group's official PR channel, declared their intent to take legal action against TenAsia for spreading misleading information.

The statement released by NJZ's team stated, "Contrary to the claims made in the article, NJZ has not engaged in any discussions or agreements with BANA. The article supposedly relies on 'accounts from various sources within the industry,' but it is entirely baseless. It appears to be a deliberate attempt to stir controversy by publishing unverified claims. We intend to lodge a formal complaint with the Press Arbitration Commission and pursue legal recourse against TenAsia for disseminating such falsehoods. TenAsia has a history of publishing inaccurate information as fact, causing considerable distress to our members and those associated with us."

In reaction to this development, Korean internet users have rallied behind NJZ while criticizing TenAsia for its treatment of K-pop artists. Some of the comments include:

"Enough of TenAsia using sensationalist headlines to harm idols. They need to face consequences through a lawsuit. Despicable journalism."

"Great move! Stay strong!"

"I sympathize with NJZ members and their families dealing with Hybe's tactics. Hybe needs to be held accountable soon. NJZ, stay strong!"

"TenAsia has consistently favored Hybe and spread damaging rumors about NJZ. This legal action is long overdue. How long has TenAsia acted as Hybe's mouthpiece? They should at least pretend to fact-check their reports. If they simply regurgitate unverified information, how can that be considered journalism? It's no different from an online forum post."

"Journalists should be held accountable too. Maybe then they'll think twice before writing irresponsibly."

"Go NJZ!"

"TenAsia is disgraceful. They should be shut down."

"TenAsia? Whether it's idols or actors, I support suing them wholeheartedly."

"NJZ, stay strong!"

"It's disheartening to see NJZ always having to apologize when the real culprits are these reporters."

"TenAsia twists headlines, even with the same press releases. This behavior is consistent across all celebrities."

"They write these false stories because they have someone shielding them behind the scenes."

"This is satisfying. Well done!"

"Finally! TenAsia has been churning out trashy articles about celebrities for far too long. It's time for them to face the consequences."
