Drake Faces Online Roasting from Duolingo After Kendrick Lamar's Epic Super Bowl Performance
Drake is having a tough time on social media post-Kendrick Lamar's groundbreaking Super Bowl Halftime Show, as Duolingo and Apple Music join in on the trolling of the Toronto rapper.
In a series of Twitter jabs on Tuesday (February 11), Duolingo's X account playfully teased the OVO founder, known for his owl emblem, by sharing an image of their owl mascot hilariously recreating a moment from Kendrick Lamar's sensational Super Bowl performance.
Accompanying the owl's pose, the caption read, "SAY DRAKE."
Taking the jest further, Duolingo followed up by humorously declaring the demise of their owl mascot in a lighthearted post.
"With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Duo, aka The Duolingo Owl," they shared. "Authorities are investigating the cause of death as we cooperate with them fully."
Hinting at the owl's purported enemies, Duolingo suggested Drake may be involved in the owl's demise, teasing, "Authorities are currently eyeing a Canadian rapper."
This is not the first time Duolingo has playfully trolled Drake in the aftermath of the Super Bowl. Just a day prior, the mobile app tweeted a playful reference to Kendrick's music with a nod to the line "A-MINORRRR."
In light of Lamar's record-breaking halftime show that captivated 133.5 million viewers, Apple Music also chimed in with a post featuring the repeated lyrics of "Not Like Us."
Roc Nation confirmed the achievements, stating, "We've done it again! Highest viewing numbers ever for the Apple Music Halftime show, with a staggering 133.5 Million audience."
