Director and actor Yang Ik-jun has been sued for assault by his junior.

On the 10th, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station stated that Yang Ik-jun had been booked for assault and is currently under investigation.

According to the police, Yang Ik-jun is accused of hitting the head of his junior, film staff member A, with a bunch of paper and verbally abusing him multiple times at his bar in Seongbuk-gu last December 13th. The police said, "The complaint was filed on December 30th of last year. The investigation is in the final stages and will be sent to the prosecutor's office."

Yang Ik-jun gained attention for his role as director, screenwriter, and lead actor in the 2009 film 'Breathless.' He has appeared in various dramas and films including 'My Love from the Star,' 'Reply 1988,' 'Producer,' 'The K2,' 'Save Me,' 'The Swindlers,' 'Steel Rain,' 'Golden Slumber,' and 'Hit-and-Run Squad.'

Especially anticipated is his upcoming movie 'Confession,' where he plays the lead role set to be released on the 19th. 'Confession' is a suspense thriller that revolves around two friends who get stranded in a sudden snowstorm during a mountain hike, where the injured 'Jiyong' senses his impending death and confesses his shocking secret to 'Asa' leading to unexpected events unfolding. With the press distribution preview on the 12th drawing near, all eyes are on whether Yang Ik-jun will attend.
