The late Oh Yoanna's family has broken their silence on the accusations of workplace bullying that led to the ousting of MBC weathercaster Kim Ga Young from the broadcasting industry.

In a recent appearance on TV Chosun’s News Stradamus, the family's attorney, Jeon Sangeom, disclosed, "There was a primary perpetrator among Oh Yoanna's colleagues, with others either complicit or bystanders. The family, however, seeks accountability from specific individuals and not the entire weather team."

The revelation of Oh Yoanna's ordeal has ignited public outrage towards weathercasters and their environment. Kim Ga Young, known for her work on 'Kick a Goal,' has resigned from her shows and as an ambassador for Paju City amidst the controversy.

Attorney Jeon emphasized that the family's legal action targets one individual and urged non-perpetrators to come forward with honesty to reveal the complete truth. He emphasized, "Our aim is to uncover the reality of the situation. The family is willing to engage in dialogue."

Regarding Kim Ga Young, Jeon clarified, "Based on the evidence, she was not the main instigator. Misidentifying bystanders as aggressors poses a significant concern for the family."

He cautioned against politicizing the issue and urged for a focus on addressing workplace harassment. The family insists on accountability and the pursuit of systemic reform rather than misleading narratives.

The family, while acknowledging Kim Ga Young's indirect involvement, calls for her and other colleagues to issue apologies. The primary perpetrator was identified through the Garo Sero Research Institute's YouTube channel.

In an interview with Garo Sero Research Institute, an unnamed family member 'A' pointed fingers at Lee Hyun Seung for persistent harassment towards Oh Yoanna, with Park Ha Myung allegedly complicit in the mistreatment. Allegations surfaced that MBC officials misled the family regarding the situation.

Concerns mount over potential cover-ups, with public frustration growing over MBC's lack of accountability. Weathercaster Park Ha Myung's appearance on MBC's News Today drew backlash from viewers, questioning the network's handling of the situation.

Oh Yoanna, a rising star at MBC, tragically ended her life in September 2021, with details of the harassment emerging posthumously. Public scrutiny intensified after a note from Oh Yoanna detailing the abuse she endured came to light.

As the saga unfolds, the spotlight remains on achieving justice for Oh Yoanna and addressing systemic issues within the broadcasting industry.
