NiziU Unveils Debut Japanese Mini Album 'AWAKE'
NiziU, the talented group under JYP Entertainment, has made a groundbreaking debut with their much-anticipated first Japanese mini album 'AWAKE' on February 5th KST.
In a stunning launch at midnight, 'AWAKE' marks a significant milestone for NiziU, following their official debut in Japan in December 2020. The album, living up to its name, signifies a new chapter for the group, showcasing their determination and growth with a fresh sound. The lead track "YOAKE" encapsulates the members' journey towards maturity and self-discovery as they embrace a wider audience.
Featuring a total of eight tracks, the album includes the mesmerizing title song ‘YOAKE’, the fan-favorite ‘Memories’ from last February (featured in partnership with Universal Studios Japan), and ‘SWEET NONFICTION’, the enchanting theme for the upcoming Japanese romantic comedy ‘Elsie in Love’. The album also boasts the heartfelt ballad ‘AlwayS’, penned and composed by Motoki Ohmori of Mrs. GREEN APPLE, ‘Buddy Buddy’ paying tribute to the 75th anniversary of Peanuts (ⓒ 2024 Peanuts Worldwide LLC), the lively ‘Life is Beautiful’, and two special unit tracks, ‘CRUSH’ and ‘Made of Love’.
Alongside the release of 'AWAKE', NiziU is gearing up for an exciting 2025. The group's thrilling winter tour, 'NiziU Live with U 2024-2025 "AWAKE"', which began in November, is set to dazzle audiences in Miyagi (February 8-9), Aichi (February 15-16), and Fukuoka (February 22-23).
Adding to the excitement, NiziU is set to make a special appearance as guests at J.Y. Park’s prestigious 30th debut anniversary concert ‘Still JYP’ at Tokyo Dome City Hall on February 20th.
