Management firm ATTRAKT is preparing to challenge the recent ruling by the Seoul Central District Court regarding the contested ownership of the song "Cupid" by music group FIFTY FIFTY.

On May 8 KST, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed ATTRAKT's lawsuit claiming intellectual property rights over "Cupid" against The Givers, affirming The Givers as the lawful owners of all associated intellectual property.

Following the court's ruling, ATTRAKT announced their intention to appeal, stating that they are examining the current intellectual property laws and getting ready for the appeal process.

Released in 2023, "Cupid" by FIFTY FIFTY achieved notable success on the Billboard charts, reaching #17 on the 'Hot 100' list and remaining on the chart for 25 weeks. The Givers, a production company hired by ATTRAKT to create the song, registered all intellectual property rights connected to the track in its own name with the Korea Music Copyright Association in March 2023.
