Warren G expressed his frustration that his long-time partners Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg did not answer his call on the day of the 2022 Super Bowl. In an interview with Ugly Money TV, the rapper shared that Snoop had given him a ticket to the game, but he couldn't reach anyone to go backstage, where he hoped to reunite with his fellow West Coast artists. The halftime show of the 2022 Super Bowl, held at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, featured a historic Hip-Hop lineup headlined by Dr. Dre and included performances by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and a surprise appearance by 50 Cent. The show paid tribute to the genre's influence and LA roots, incorporating local landmarks like Tam's Burgers and the Compton courthouse in the set design. Warren G, known for his contributions to West Coast Hip-Hop and the G-funk movement, was notably absent from the lineup despite his significant impact on the genre. His hit single "Regulate" propelled him to fame, and his role in connecting Snoop Dogg with Dr. Dre was instrumental in shaping the Hip-Hop scene. Warren G's success extends beyond his music career, as he has also made his mark as a producer and entrepreneur with ventures like Sniffin Griffin's BBQ.
