Kim Ri Won, a member of the cast of the show 'ToGetHer,' recently addressed allegations about her past involvement as a provocative broadcast jockey through a social media statement on April 29. She acknowledged her previous activities and apologized to viewers, fellow cast members, and the production team.

In her statement, Ri Won revealed that she had conducted personal broadcast content for a total of three years during various periods. She also mentioned having participated in six meal dates during which she ensured there was a live broadcast to document the interactions. She publicly expressed regret for not disclosing her past to the show's producers, admitting it was a selfish decision that caused disappointment to many.

'ToGetHer,' recognized as Korea's first lesbian reality dating show, faced renewed attention following the resurfacing of Ri Won's online activities and questions about her sexual orientation. Ri Won clarified that she identifies as a woman who loves women, mentioning her struggles with self-acceptance and her involvement in relationships with both men and women. She opened up about her disturbing experiences in a past relationship with a man, including threats and abuse, leading her to apply to the show to reveal her sexual orientation on her terms.

Ri Won also mentioned her intent to take legal action against the individual involved in the threats and abuse. She acknowledged her past actions, expressed regret for causing harm to the show and its participants, and recognized how her behavior could contribute to harmful stereotypes about the LGBTQ+ community. She took full responsibility for the consequences of her actions and apologized for the impact they have had on those involved with 'ToGetHer.'
