A press conference was held at the Korea Press Center in Seoul on April 29th to address the "Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against 143 Entertainment CEO Lee Yong Hak." Those in attendance included the mother of former MADEIN member Gaeun, lawyer Moon Hyo Jung, former 143 Entertainment A&R team leader Heo Yoo Jung, Culture Solidarity Secretary-General Kim Jae Sang, Hanbit Media Labor Rights Center Director Kim Young Min, and activist Lee Min Kyung from Moms Politics.

According to the Hanbit Center, Lee Yong Hak, known as Digital Masta, allegedly subjected a minor idol group member to verbal abuse, threats, forced molestation, and sexual harassment during a three-hour encounter at his office in October of last year. The victim was under 19 years old at the time and protected by the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth Against Sexual Offenses.

Despite initially admitting to the incident and pledging to resign and stay away from the victim, Lee later denied the accusations, failed to keep his promise, and defamed the victim with misleading statements. Additionally, 143 Entertainment refuted the claims, abruptly removed the victim from her group without warning, and terminated her career.

As a result of Lee's actions and blame-shifting, the victim and her parents endured significant distress over the last six months. The victim's aspirations were thwarted by 143 Entertainment's unjust actions, which terminated her contract on unjust grounds and shifted the blame onto her.
