/Article

Dizzee Rascal shared that he took advantage of the lockdown period to learn plastering before returning to his music career. The rapper obtained a City and Guilds Certificate in plastering during the COVID-19 lockdown when live performances and studio work came to a halt. Despite his fame in British Hip-Hop, Dizzee went unrecognized by his classmates for weeks in the course. After mastering plastering, he made a musical comeback in late 2024 with the surprise EP, I Invented Grime. This project followed his eighth studio album, Don't Take It Personal, maintaining his influence in the genre he helped establish. Dizzee's legacy in British music, which began with the debut album Boy In Da Corner in 2003, continues to evolve with his recent releases.
