Multiple artists, such as Epik High, John Park, and Jang Jae-In, have pulled out from the 'Youth Weather Night Festival' due to alleged breaches of contract by the event organizers.
Jang Jae-In revealed on social media on April 26 that her festival performance on May 3 was canceled because the organizers did not fulfill their contractual obligations. She expressed disappointment at the situation and mentioned that many artists are dealing with similar challenges.
John Park's agency, Music Farm Entertainment, also confirmed the artist's withdrawal from the festival on May 3 due to the organizers' failure to comply with the contract terms. The agency apologized to fans for any confusion.
Although the exact details of the contract violations were not revealed, Jang Jae-In's statement implied that essential contract conditions were neglected. Other artists set to perform are reportedly experiencing comparable issues.
Following the lineup changes, the festival organizers issued an apology for the unforeseen alterations and announced the list of artists who will no longer be performing.
Ticket refunds are being offered to attendees who no longer wish to participate, with automatic refunds being processed. The organizers expressed regret for the sudden modifications and assured attendees of a memorable event with the remaining artists.
Initially promoted as a significant festival targeting young audiences with a diverse lineup, the 'Youth Weather Night Festival' now encounters difficulties in maintaining its momentum amid the controversy.
