Starship Entertainment is making significant strides with its expansive global initiative called 'Debut’s Plan', which follows the debut journey of its new boy group, New Kids, in the entertainment industry.

On April 25, the 'New Kids on the Starship' YouTube channel showcased 'EP.8 Semi-Final LIVE', centered around the sixth mission, the 'Pre-DEBUT Evaluation'. During this phase, the trainees performed before the Debut’s Plan board, trainers, and a large audience of over 1,500 fans. They presented a diverse range of acts like 'I’m OK, You’re OK', 'DWN', 'So G.oo.D', 'New A.G.K.', and 'Balla'.

After the evaluation, a total of 12 finalists were announced for the subsequent 'Final Debut Evaluation'. The group includes Kim Min-jae, Kim Ji-yong, Park Sung-hyun, Park Jun-hwan, Park Won-bin, Baek Junh-yuk, Wu Hao, Lee Tae-gun, Jang Kyu-hyun, Jang Yong-hoon, Jung Se-min, and Chu Yu-chan.

The finalists were selected based on a combined scoring system consisting of 25% from the first fan vote round, 25% from the second, and a significant 50% from the third round, conducted through the official site (newkids.co.kr). Both the Debut’s Plan board and global fans had a say in the choices. Park Sung-hyun was also granted the 'Debut’s Super Pass', ensuring his position in the final lineup.

The final evaluation will feature two tracks, 'Moment That Pierces Through Dreams' and 'Crown in Bloom', for which fans will vote to determine the performance selection.

The criteria for choosing the final seven debut members have been disclosed. Five members will be selected based on an equal 50% weightage of fan votes and board evaluations. Voting is open until 10 a.m. KST on May 3. The remaining two spots will be filled through the 'Fan SAVE' and 'Board SAVE' system during the live final broadcast.

The 'Final Debut Evaluation' will be aired live on May 4 at 8 p.m. KST as part of 'EP.9'.
