Dody6 has publicly criticized Kendrick Lamar for their joint project, attributing his homelessness to their collaboration in an explicit video rant.
Dody6 has pointed fingers at Kendrick Lamar and their track "Hey Now," alleging that it led to his current state of homelessness in a rant shared on social media recently. The California rapper, who was featured on Kendrick Lamar's GNX album, expressed his frustrations in a series of videos, expressing disappointment that the song did not bring the life-changing outcomes he had hoped for.
In one of the videos, Dody6 disclosed his homeless situation, admitting that he had lost his house but showing determination to bounce back. He mentioned his affiliation with the Rolling 40s Crip subset and reflected on his financial expectations not being met, emphasizing that he only gained clout, not money, from the collaboration.
Moreover, Dody6 vented his anger not only at Kendrick Lamar but also at the wider Hip-Hop industry, making threats of violence against unspecified rappers. He was puzzled by the lack of financial benefit from the collaboration, expecting a significant payout but feeling let down.
A video later revealed a slight change in Dody6's demeanor as he acknowledged his circumstances as unfortunate. The situation escalated with the emergence of an alleged text message from Dody6, suggesting that he was under the influence of meth and demeaning Kendrick Lamar.
The GNX album, which showcased a mix of emerging and established artists upon its release earlier this year, included various collaborations, with Dody6's appearance on "Hey Now" being one of them.
