On May 26 KST, ADOR issued a caution regarding "unauthorized fan accounts trying to gather fans' personal details under the guise of a demand survey," indirectly referring to Team Bunnies, the unofficial fan club of NewJeans.
Earlier this week, 'Indomie Mi Goreng' announced an exclusive pop-up store for NewJeans, scheduled from May 1-13 in Sungsu-dong at Sungsu Station exit #3. Following this announcement, Team Bunnies revealed plans for an online demand survey for the special pop-up store postcard set, releasing photos of the set and the pop-up store for the first time.
Initially, fans were puzzled by the pop-up store news, as NewJeans is currently not actively promoting as a group because of a legal conflict with ADOR. Confusion increased when Team Bunnies, known for supporting the NewJeans members over ADOR, got involved in promoting the pop-up store.
In a statement on April 26 KST, ADOR clarified that NewJeans members are official models for 'Indomie' and that the pop-up store is approved and hosted by a partner company with ADOR's consent. ADOR also highlighted that they have not communicated with fan accounts to promote the event or gather consumer data, cautioning fans against providing personal information to unauthorized sources.
The statement implied ADOR's reference to Team Bunnies and warned fans against sharing their details with any "unauthorized fan accounts."
Following this, some internet users expressed concerns about an unofficial fan club like Team Bunnies being involved in NewJeans's official affairs through ADOR, while others suggested that 'Indomie' had initially contacted Team Bunnies.
Team Bunnies has not issued an official response following ADOR's recent announcement.
