Five Korean Dramas Selected for the Cannes International Series Festival

Five dramas have received invitations to participate in the Cannes International Series Festival in France.

The 8th Cannes International Series Festival has revealed its selection for both the long-form and short-form competition categories, the documentary competition, and the non-competition segment.

Among the chosen works are several Korean productions.

One of them, 'S Line,' created and directed by Ahn Joo Young and produced by Sidus, stands out as the Korean representative in the long-form competition. This fantasy thriller is adapted from a webtoon and revolves around the appearance of enigmatic red lines over individuals, disclosing their previous sexual partners.

The drama, which is yet to secure a local broadcasting network, will debut globally at the Cannes Series Festival.

The remaining four dramas will feature in the non-competition 'Rendezvous' segment: 'Doubt,' 'Nursery Rhymes Ghost Stories,' 'Hunter with a Scalpel,' and 'Fairy Fasting Center.' 'Hunter with a Scalpel' and 'Fairy Fasting Center' will have special screenings.

The presentation of these dramas, scheduled for April 30 at the Jean Mineur Auditorium, will include appearances by actors Nam Gyu Ri, Hong Soo Hyun, Park Joo Hyun, Ryu Seung Soo, Jo Hye Jung, as well as directors Lee Jung Hoon and Song Yeon Hwa.

The Cannes International Series Festival is a prominent event centered on TV drama content, now in its 8th edition, taking place from April 25 to 30 in Cannes.
