Voting for the Prism Popularity Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards began on April 23 and will continue for ten days, with one male and one female actor chosen based on fan votes. Fans have shown strong support for actors from popular dramas such as 'Lovely Runner' and 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'

Byeon Woo Seok is leading the male nominees with about 226,000 votes, followed by Park Bo Gum with approximately 84,000 votes. Among the female nominees, Hyeri is currently in first place with around 738,000 votes, surpassing IU from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and Kim Hye Yoon from 'Lovely Runner.'

Hyeri starred in the drama 'Friendly Rivalry,' a mystery-thriller set in Chaehwa Girls’ High School, known for fierce academic competition. The storyline revolves around Seulgi (Jung So Bin), a transfer student caught in her peers' ambitions and her father's mysterious death, a former exam official. Hyeri's portrayal of Yoo Jae Yi, a top student with outstanding looks, grades, and background, gained attention, especially for a same-sex kiss scene with Jung So Bin.

'Friendly Rivalry' received international acclaim for its unique storyline and emotional ending. Voting for the Baeksang Arts Awards Popularity Award will close on May 2, and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 5 at COEX D Hall in Seoul. The show broke records upon its release, becoming the most-viewed U+ Mobile TV and U+ TV original series, and ranking high in various charts and platforms globally.
