The Global Fan Union of Taeyeon has released an official statement urging SM Entertainment to provide adequate feedback and compensation following the sudden cancellation of the Girls' Generation member's 'The Tense' concert in Japan.

Initially, Taeyeon was supposed to perform at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo as part of her 2025 tour on April 19-20. However, just before the first show, SM Entertainment announced the cancellation, attributing it to the failure to deliver necessary equipment for the tour. Taeyeon expressed her disappointment and concern over the cancellation, mentioning her sorrow for her fans and how the hard work put into the concert was abruptly taken away.

Unsatisfied with SM Entertainment's brief explanation, fans united to demand a more detailed account, an apology, and suitable compensation. Taeyeon endorsed the fan union's statement on her Instagram account.
