Their tendency to avoid eye contact, give brief and unclear responses, and generally appear passive throughout the broadcast stirred criticism among viewers. Key, a senior from their agency SM Entertainment, even left a live message urging them to improve their performance. Despite the backlash, some viewers empathized with the group, noting that NCT WISH consists of second-year rookies, some of whom are foreign members, and their limited experience in broadcasting might contribute to their discomfort.
