South Korean actress Choi Yeo Jin uploaded a video on her YouTube channel on April 22 to address ongoing rumors concerning her upcoming marriage. She refuted the allegations systematically and announced her plans to take legal action.

Choi is preparing to wed a non-celebrity fiancé in June, which will be her first marriage. Her fiancé, director Kim Jae Wook, has been previously divorced. The rumors emerged as old footage of a variety show surfaced featuring Choi, Kim, and his ex-wife when they were still together. This led to various speculations, including baseless accusations of infidelity and suggestions that their past relationship had cult connections.

Choi recounted receiving a late-night call from her friend expressing concern about the misinformation circulating. She admitted she initially wanted to ignore the situation but felt compelled to combat the false narratives as doubts even arose among close acquaintances.

She clarified several rumors in the video, including debunking claims of being detained or being involved with a cult. Choi explained that she lived alone on a sports facility property and trained there rather than living with Kim and his ex-wife. She also denied referring to Kim's parents as her own and highlighted that her relationship was not based on financial gain but on trust and genuine connection.

Choi urged for the spread of false rumors to cease and called for the removal of misinformation online. She hoped for a resolution without resorting to legal action and expressed her desire to put an end to the fabricated stories.
