The crime-action movie 'YADANG: The Snitch' reached over 1 million admissions on April 23, only eight days after its debut, establishing itself as a major success at the box office. Data from the Korean Film Council revealed that the film hit the milestone with a total audience of 1,000,589 by 2:07 PM on that day, achieving this remarkable feat swiftly.

It's worth noting that the movie is rated 18+, making its rapid success even more impressive. In comparison, a film called 'The Match,' aimed at viewers aged 12 and above, took 11 days to reach the same milestone. 'YADANG: The Snitch' performance highlights the expanding diversity and size of the South Korean film industry.

The film tells a compelling tale involving 'Yadang,' a broker managing the underground drug scene in Korea, a prosecutor hungry for power, and a determined detective striving to dismantle the criminal organization. Their conflicting objectives drive the fast-paced plot.

Since its premiere, 'YADANG: The Snitch' has dominated the box office, holding the top spot for seven consecutive days.
