Actress Yoona, a member of Girls’ Generation, has once again shown her kindness and generosity by gifting high-end massagers to the entire staff of the upcoming tvN drama ‘The Tyrant’s Chef’, in which she stars. She personally financed the gifts, with an estimated cost of 30 million KRW ($21,000), as a token of appreciation for the hard work of the crew.

Accompanying the thoughtful present was a heartfelt letter from Yoona, expressing her wish to alleviate their fatigue and complete the project together in good health. She signed off with her name and the character she portrays, Youn Ji Young, demonstrating her affection for both the team and the production.

This act of gratitude is not new for Yoona, as she has previously shown similar gestures to the staff of her past projects, like JTBC’s ‘Hush’, ‘King the Land’, and the film ‘The Devil’s Deal’.

Social media posts from the staff showcased their thankfulness, with comments like “Thank you,” “My calves are saved, thanks to unnie,” “Is she an actual goddess?”, and “So comfortable and amazing.”

Yoona is gearing up for her return to television later this year in the fantasy survival romance ‘The Tyrant’s Chef’, based on a popular web novel. Directed by Jang Tae Yoo, known for works like ‘My Love From the Star’ and ‘Lovers of the Red Sky’, the series follows the story of Youn Ji Young, a French chef transported back in time to the palace of a tyrannical yet gourmet king in Joseon after winning a cooking competition in Paris. As Ji Young navigates this unexpected turn in her career, she must adjust to palace life and may even find unexpected love.
