Baby Tate responded to critics questioning her GoFundMe campaign by explaining that she owes $1.5 million to Warner Records and is unable to afford a new car for her boyfriend, whose car was recently stolen. The incident, where the stolen car named "Grace" contained sentimental items and expensive clothing, occurred in her parking lot at around 2 a.m. Baby Tate appealed for support, asking her Instagram followers to share and contribute to her boyfriend's GoFundMe page to help him get back on the road safely. In response to inquiries about why she didn't cover the expenses herself, Baby Tate disclosed her substantial debt to Warner. When faced with criticism, she defended her decision to seek community donations and not buy a new car outright, emphasizing the importance of coming together as a community during tough times. Baby Tate, an artist who began making music at a young age and signed with Warner Records in 2021, has released various projects, including her EP titled Baby Tate Presents: Sexploration the Musical in 2023. As of now, the GoFundMe campaign has raised over $1,000 towards its $10,000 target.
