MBC Announcer Kim Dae Ho Reveals Decision to Go Freelance on ‘I Live Alone’
Kim Dae Ho, the beloved MBC announcer, shook fans when he announced his move to freelance during an episode of 'I Live Alone.' MBC, in response to his decision, shared an official statement.
In a statement to OSEN on February 1, an MBC representative addressed Kim Dae Ho's departure, stating, "After discussions with Kim Dae Ho, we are in the process of finalizing his resignation from the company." They further mentioned, "While we cannot provide details on the exact date of departure or future plans at this time, we are working closely with him."
During the episode aired on January 31, Kim Dae Ho left viewers in astonishment as he disclosed his resignation news to Kian84 and Lee Jang Woo at his housewarming event. "I've already informed the company about my decision, it's not just a thought anymore," he shared, eliciting a surprised reaction from everyone present.
Elaborating on his reasons for quitting, Kim Dae Ho expressed, "There were multiple factors that led to this decision - at some point in everyone's life, the idea of leaving crosses their mind." He further stated, "I appreciate this opportunity that has arisen. Although the timing might not be ideal, I believe it's the perfect moment to seize control of my life. I am confident that this will be one of the most exhilarating chapters in my life."
While the resignation process is in motion, Kim Dae Ho is currently part of MBC’s announcer division. Reports suggest that amidst the resignation proceedings, he is deliberating over whether to continue his current roles in MBC programs or make a clean break.
